The Baltimore Ravens have fired offensive coordiator Cam Cameron, a day after the team's overtime loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news, and it was quickly confirmed and reported by a number of other outlets.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh replaced Cameron, who had been in the position since 2008, with quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell, who had been the Indianapolis Colts head coach until being fired after last season.
The move to fire Cameron is interesting in that the Ravens are still 9-4 and leading the AFC North, but offensive inconsistency and the perceived stagnation in QB Joe Flacco's development apparently played a role in the decision.
