Ravens' Ayanbadejo rips Patriots' offense

Even before the New England Patriots finished off the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional playoffs Sunday, they had bulletin-board material for their next game.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo criticized Patriots' offense via Twitter while New England was ripping apart Houston in a 41-28 rout. The Ravens, who beat the Denver Broncos 38-35 in double overtime Saturday, will play at New England next Sunday in the AFC championship game.

Ayanbadejo first tweeted: "New England does some suspect stuff on offense. Can't really respect it. Comparable to a cheap shot b4 a fight"

He subsequently added: "Are you watching the game pats vs texans? If so you see the hurry snap offense catch em b4 they set up. It's a gimmick. ... Their offense is good enough to be successful with out that"

The Patriots' hurry-up offense rolled up 457 yards of total offense against the Texans, who had the NFL's seventh-ranked defense in the regular season. Baltimore ranked 17th, though the Ravens' defense endured an injury-plagued season.

Ayanbadejo later took a shot at two Patriots topics from the past, tweeting, "You know the same organization that did spygate and cut a guy the day b4 the Super Bowl"

He referred to the 2007 Spygate scandal that ultimately prompted the NFL to strip the team of its 2008 first-round draft pick, and the team's move to release Tiquan Underwood last February just before the Patriots lost to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl. Underwood was replaced on the roster by a defensive player in a strategic decision.
