Ravens activate Suggs, cut Kindle

The Ravens announced Saturday that they have activated OLB Terrell Suggs. To make room for him on the 53-man roster, the team cut OLB Sergio Kindle, a 2010 second-round draft pick by the team.

Suggs, who practiced all week after spending the first six weeks of the season on the physically unable to perform list, will be eligible to play Sunday against the Texans.

The five-time Pro Bowler, who was named All-Pro last season after making 14 sacks and two interceptions and forcing seven fumbles, had offseason surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon. If he plays Sunday, it will be just 5½ months after having the surgery.

Kindle, who suffered a serious head injury prior to his rookie season and spent the year on injured reserve, played in only three games for Baltimore during his Ravens career. He has one career tackle.
