Ranieri expects more Monaco signings

Claudio Ranieri says Monaco needs to strengthen further as it prepares its assault on Ligue 1.

Despite already acquiring the likes of Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez, Joao Moutinho, Eric Abidal and Jeremy Toulalan in a 130 million euro-plus splurge, the 61-year-old claimed that more arrivals are in order.

"The market is not really finished yet," Ranieri told BeIN Sport. "I'll wait for after the next preparatory match and then I will talk to the president and sporting director."

Les Rouge et Blanc have made headlines for their spate of imports following their promotion from Ligue 2, bankrolled by Russian owner Dmitry Rybolovlev.

The Ligue 1 upstart has yet to click into gear however, succumbing to a 3-2 defeat in a recent friendly to Fortuna Dusseldorf before losing 1-0 to Augsburg on Saturday.
