The Texas Rangers are starting to get some of their legion of pitchers back from the disabled list, but they did have a setback Tuesday. Koji Uehara left the field clutching his right shoulder after a light throwing session. The Rangers reported it was continued soreness from the strained latissimus dorsi muscle in his shoulder that sent him to the DL in the first place. Team officials said Uehara had some soreness following his Sunday rehab outing performance for Class AAA Round Rock. The club now expects Uehara, who has been out since mid-15, to miss at least another week. Ueahra will step away from the mound for several days to get treatment and then will have to restart his rehab assignment. "He'll definitely need another one to let us know he's good," manager Ron Washington said. "Because he felt discomfort, we're not going to push that. "Maybe this is normal. It might not be anything, but at least he's staying in communication with us on how he feels." With Uehara's continued issues, Tanner Scheppers may be able to stay with the club longer. Scheppers pitched a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday in Texas' 6-1 win over the A's at Oakland, and he has started to get a little more consistent as he's gotten more opportunity to pitch. He has allowed one run in five appearances in July for a 2.45 ERA.
