Rams WR Amendola likely out six to seven weeks

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola is expected to miss six to seven weeks for a shoulder injury, SI.com reported Friday.

Amendola was hurt on a diving attempt in the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Amendola had his right arm in a sling after the game. He did not speak to reporters, but Rams quarterback Sam Bradford did weigh in.

"Yeah, it's big, I'm not gonna lie," Bradford said on the thought of losing Amendola. "Obviously, he's a big part of the offense. A lot of what we do runs through him. He went down last year, and it really hurt us. I feel confident about our guys we got this year, and I think it just opens up a spot for someone to step up and make some plays."

Amendola has 31 catches for 351 yards with two touchdowns this year. He had had major elbow injury that cost him most of the 2011 season.
