The St. Louis Rams released left guard Quinn Ojinnaka, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Monday.
Ojinnaka was replaced in the starting lineup by Shelley Smith on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. It was Smith's first NFL start.
Ojinnaka, 28, started five games at left guard this season after Scott Wells and Rokevious Watkins sustained injuries in the Rams' first game of the year.
Former first round draft pick Chris Williams, a free agent lineman, signed with the team and will take Ojinnaka's spot on the 53-man roster. Williams visited the Arizona Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego Chargers before deciding on the Rams.
Ojinnaka told the Post-Dispatch that he is considering retiring from football and wants to become a professional wrestler.
