Rams OLT Rodger Saffold suffered a third-degree MCL sprain and other damage to the knee, head coach Jeff Fisher told reporters Monday.
Saffold’s injury is not season-ending, but he will be out at least a month.
The injury to his right knee occurred while advancing a fumble in the first quarter of Sunday’s win over the Redskins. Saffold was hospitalized with a neck strain in Week One and listed as questionable before starting in Week Two.
Saffold’s replacement was former Jet Wayne Hunter. A third-year pro, Saffold started every game as a rookie and nine games last season before suffering a season-ending pectoral injury.
