St. Louis Rams left tackle Jake Long was carted off the field in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Coach Jeff Fisher said at halftime that the original diagnosis was a torn knee ligament, according to sideline reporter Laura Okmin.
Long injured his right knee while blocking on a passing play -- the third offensive snap of the game for St. Louis. The knee appeared to give out on the play. He stayed down for a few minutes before standing on his own to get on the cart.
Rodger Saffold shifted over from right guard to left tackle and Shelley Smith took over at right guard.
Long has started all 15 games this seasons.
