Rams will exercise option on Robert Quinn
This move was a no-brainer.
The St. Louis Rams will exercise the fifth-year option on defensive end's Robert Quinn, according to a report from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Rams have yet to do so, but will before the May 3 deadline.
Quinn has been an important part to the St. Louis defense. The former 2011 first-round pick had 57 tackles and 19 sacks a season ago.
This move buys the Rams some time to come up with a long-term deal. But given the fact Quinn is coming off such a dominating season, ensuring he's a part of the franchise through the 2015 season.
