Rams' Coty Sensabaugh, wife spend honeymoon helping Dominican needy

Coty Sensabaugh has had quite the offseason. In March, he signed a three-year, $15 million contract with the Los Angeles Rams, leaving the Tennessee Titans after four years. Then in May, he and fiancee Dominique Jordan were married.

At their wedding in Atlanta, the couple asked guests not to give them gifts; instead, they asked for donations of either shoes or cash for the charity Soles4Souls, which the couple had become involved with.

Then, instead of a traditional honeymoon, Coty, Dominique, and several friends and family members traveled to the Dominican Republic to deliver shoes to needy adults and children.

Calling the trip the #SensabaughMissionMoon, the couple and their companions distributed over 500 pairs of shoes over five days in the country.

“We wanted to do a little something different and we both are extremely giving and believe in blessing others,” Sensabaugh told the NFL Player Engagement site. “Dom actually did a mission trip to the Dominican Republic when we were [in college, at Clemson] and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She had been doing some research and found Soles4Souls. We decided to partner with them and they’ve been great.

“So far, through our church, Mt. Zion, in Nashville, we have raised over 11,000 shoes. Our goal is to raise 25,000. I absolutely think (we can reach the goal). Our community has been very giving. Just people hearing about it and spreading the word has helped a lot.”

Bravo and congrats to the newlyweds.
