In a spectacular all-around effort, Al Jefferson scored 22 points and added 19 rebounds and 7 assists to help the Charlotte Bobcats edge the Toronto Raptors, 100-95. The Bobcats shot really well, finishing 32-65 (49.2%) from the field, including 9-16 (56.2%) from beyond the arc. Charlotte (18-25) picked up the win after falling to the Miami Heat on Saturday.
Jefferson shot 9-18 from the field. Gerald Henderson contributed 16 points and 5 assists for Charlotte as well. DeMar DeRozan had another quality performance for Toronto despite the loss, scoring 25 points on 10-23 shooting (1-3 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 4-5 from the free throw line. Greivis Vasquez contributed 15 points and 9 assists and Chuck Hayes finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Along with their eFG% of 56.2%, the Bobcats connected at a rate of 56.2% from 3-point range. On the season, they are undefeated (3-0) when they record marks above 55% and 40% in those respective categories. Conversely, the Raptors are 1-5 when allowing their opponents to reach those percentages.
Toronto (20-20) has now dropped three straight to Charlotte.
