Rajon Rondo and Kris Humphries Are Having Fun With Last Year's Fight

Yahoo Contributor Network

COMMENTARY | During a regular-season game last season, the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets got into a little bit of a skirmish.

It started with a Kris Humphries foul on Kevin Garnett that Rajon Rondo took exception to. The foul didn't appear to be that hard, and it's possible that Rondo made a big deal out of it to try to spark his struggling team. If you don't remember, you can watch it here.

Now, Rondo and Humphries are teammates in Boston. So, naturally, people wondered how the two would work together after their incident.

It seems as if they're already making fun of it. According to Masslive, some of the Celtics have been weighing in on who they think would win in a fight between Rondo and Humphries. According to Keith Bogans, the team is pretty split. They know they're arguing about who would win in a fight between a point guard and a power forward, right?

The two are clearly over the little skirmish and are focused on the season. It couldn't even be called a true fight, as there weren't any punches thrown. It was essentially a huge shoving match which, in today's world of social media, got way overblown.

With an expiring deal, Humphries may be on the trade block at some point during the season. Once you put aside all of the ridiculous media attention that comes with getting involved with the Kardashians, Humphries is a pretty solid player. Big men who can rebound always seem to be in demand as contenders look to fill out their rotation after injuries start to pile up. Humphries could see significant minutes with the Celtics early in the year if the team decides to hold a public audition to boost his trade value.

Maybe Rondo and Humphries will have some fun with us during the year and fake a fight or something. For now, everything seems to be just fine between the two.
