Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain has settled a two-year-old lawsuit from an incident in 2008 in Alabama, according to the Birmingham News.
Stanford Matthew Mangham had alleged that McClain had intentional hit him twice with a vehicle in 2008, and then left the scene to get more University of Alabama football players to intimidate him. Mangham claims he was again verbally and physically assaulted.
The settlement dismisses all claims from the case, but McClain still has another incident in his hometown of Decatur, Ala., from last November that has yet to be resolved. McClain is accused of punching a man, threatening to kill him and firing a pistol near his ear. That case is scheduled to go to trial May 17.
