Raiders' Branch out with fractured fibula

Oakland Raiders strong safety Tyvon Branch is out indefinitely with a fractured fibula, according to ESPN.

Branch was injured in the first quarter of the Raiders' 19-9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. He got hurt while rushing Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne on a third-and-7 play.

"That looks to be a significant injury," Raiders coach Dennis Allen said after the game. "We'll find out more later."

Branch was replaced by Usama Young and Brandian Ross. Branch was not available for reporters after the game.

Young said he saw Branch in the trainer's room.

Branch and defensive end Lamarr Houston are the only returning starters on the Raiders' defense.
