The Oakland defense had no answer for Andre Holmes, but it would prove not enough to avoid a defeat for the Raiders against the Cowboys, 31-24, in Arlington.
Matt McGloin went 18 for 30 for 255 yards passing and one pick with no touchdowns. Tony Romo ended up going 23 of 32 with 225 yards passing, one touchdown and no interceptions for the Cowboys.
Rashad Jennings played adequately for the Raiders, rushing for 35 yards on 17 attempts with two scores. Holmes was a top performer, snagging seven passes for 136 yards.
The Oakland defense put forth a solid effort, highlighted by allowing 144 yards rushing and 225 passing while returning one fumble for a touchdown. They sacked Romo two times.
Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray was impressive, racking up 63 yards rushing, 39 receiving and three touchdowns. Running back Lance Dunbar also put together a noteworthy performance with 82 rushing yards and 12 receiving.
Next week, the Raiders head to East Rutherford to face the Jets (5-6) while the Cowboys go to Chicago to play the Bears (6-5).
