Update: The Cardinals expect Furcal to be uninhibited by his elbow come spring training, MLB.com reports.
Recommendation: Furcal has been in contact with the Cardinals throughout his rehabilitation from the UCL tear that ended his season in August, and the club has received only encouraging reports. An MRI in November showed the ligament has completely healed, so while GM John Mozeliak said he has "contingency plans" in case Furcal suffers a setback, it looks like he'll be a go come spring training.
