Update: Furcal will meet Wednesday with the famed Dr. James Andrews in order to get a second opinion on his ailing elbow, MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch reports.
Recommendation: Furcal was checked out by the team doctor Monday, but his rehab options should become more clear once Andrews examines the Cardinals' expected starting shortstop. Last August, Furcal made the decision to rehab his partially torn UCL rather than undergo Tommy John surgery, which may soon come back to bite him.
