Purdue will be missing its leading receiver this week when the Boilermakers host Notre Dame on Saturday. Starting tight end Gabe Holmes injured his wrist on Tuesday during practice. Coach Darrell Hazell characterized the injury as "pretty serious," according to the Indianapolis Star. Hazell would not speculate how long Holmes, one of the top tight ends in the country, would be out. Hazell said Purdue, which uses a lot of two-tight end sets will have to adjust. "It puts a lot of strain on your two tight end sets," Hazell said. "We'll have to do some other things without tipping our hand."
