NEW YORK (AP) -- Prohibition, the prohibitive favorite, crushed the competition in a 15¼ length victory on Thursday in the $57,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct.
The 4-year-old gelding is unbeaten in the three races since trainer Cal Lynch claimed him for only $7,500 at Delaware Park in September. There were no anxious moments in the latest win, the fourth in 12 career starts. Stewart Elliott was aboard for the mile in 1:37.91 for New York breds over the fast and frigid track.
Prohibition paid $3.70, $2.80 and $2.40 as the 4-5 choice. Joe Mooch overcame a stumble at the start to be the distant runner-up, returning $4.80 and $3.80. Rocket Hero paid $6.40 to show.
