Presbyterian rolls past UNC-Greensboro 87-66

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Jordan Downing scored a school-record 37 points and William Truss had 13 points and 13 rebounds as Presbyterian put away UNC-Greensboro 87-66 Tuesday night.

The Blue Hose (2-7) shot a blistering 63 percent from the field and led by as much as 22 during the game. Downing was 11 of 15 from the field, sank five of his six 3-point attempts and hit all 10 of his free throws. Danny Herrera contributed 18 points for Presbyterian, while Reggie Dillard had 11 with eight assists.

The Spartans (4-4) were just 24 of 68 on field goal attempts. Nicholas Paulos hit a 3-pointer to give UNC-Greensboro the lead to open the game, but Presbyterian rolled from there, using a late 11-0 surge in the first half to lead 37-18.

Paulos led the Spartans with 22 points and six 3-pointers, while Kyle Cain had 10 points and 11 boards.
