The St. Louis Blues went into the first intermission tied at one with the Nashville Predators in Game 2, thanks to a power play goal from Vladimir Tarasenko.

The goal, Tarasenko’s second of the postseason, was helped by the fact that the Blues were given a five-minute power play after Vernon Fiddler, the Game 1 hero, was kicked out for kneeing Colton Parayko behind the St. Louis net.

Just 72 seconds later, Tarasenko evened the score while Fiddler watched from the dressing room. Parayko missed the final minutes of the period but was back out on the ice for the start of the second.

Does Fiddler have any supplemental discipline coming? Probably not. He has a very clean rap sheet with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety and considering the timing of his penalty, he’s basically experiencing a one-game suspension right now as the Predators look to go up 2-0 in the series.
