Podcast: Lenny Dykstra on steroids, jail and his new tell-all book

This is The StewPod, our weekly baseball podcast with a dash of pop culture. If you dig us, please subscribe and review us on iTunes.

Former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Lenny Dykstra has lived an … uh … interesting life. At some point, he realized this and decided to put all his stories together in one place. Dykstra’s book, “House of Nails: A Memoir of Life on the Edge,” was released Tuesday, and it’s already selling like crazy.

Turns out, when you’re a former major-leaguer who is willing to talk about your steroid use, time as a male escort and prison life, people take notice.

Dykstra appeared on this week’s StewPod to discuss some of those subjects and promote his new book. Anyone who followed Dykstra during his career, or is interested in some of the things he’s said thus far on his media tour won’t want to miss this edition of the StewPod.
