Plaxico Burress has torn rotator cuff

Pittsburgh Steelers veteran wide receiver Plaxico Burress is probably out for the season with a torn rotator cuff, according to reports.

Burress got injured Thursday while trying to make a leaping catch.

Burress, 35, caught just three passes in four games last season for Pittsburgh.

For his career, Burress has caught 553 receptions for 8,448 yards and 64 touchdowns.

He has also played for the New York Giants.
