Ben Roethlisberger had a big day for the offense, but it was not enough to avoid a loss for the Steelers against the Dolphins, 34-28, at home.
Roethlisberger lit up the Dolphins for three scores on 23 of 39 passing for 349 yards and one fumble. Ryan Tannehill was just as hot for the Dolphins, and finished 20 for 33 with 200 yards passing, three touchdowns and one pick.
Le'Veon Bell gained 61 yards on 15 carries and had five receptions for 28 yards. Antonio Brown was a leading receiver, hauling in five balls for 137 yards with a score.
The Pittsburgh defense had a decent day, highlighted by giving up 181 yards rushing and 200 passing while taking back one interception for a touchdown. They sacked Tannehill three times.
Dolphins tight end Charles Clay was impressive, racking up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Running back Daniel Thomas also put together a noteworthy performance with 105 rushing yards and one touchdown.
The Steelers are at home to take on the Bengals (9-4) next week while the Dolphins will meet the Patriots (10-3), also at home.
