Throwing for several scores, Ben Roethlisberger led the way to a solid victory for the Steelers over the Lions, 37-27, at home.
An outstanding game for Roethlisberger was topped off with four touchdowns on 29 of 45 passing for 367 yards and no interceptions. Matthew Stafford did what he could to keep the Lions in the game, going 19 of 46 with 362 yards passing, two touchdowns and one pick.
Le'Veon Bell had a rough game, rushing for 36 yards on 18 carries in addition to four receptions for 52 yards. Antonio Brown was a top receiver, catching seven passes for 147 yards with two touchdowns.
The Pittsburgh defense surrendered 107 yards rushing and 362 passing. They got to Stafford for two sacks.
Finally, Shaun Suisham was perfect, making all three of the field goals he attempted.
Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson had a productive game with 179 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Running back Joique Bell also had a good game with 49 rushing yards, 48 receiving and one touchdown.
The Steelers travel to Cleveland next week to meet the Browns (4-6) while the Lions are at home to take on the Buccaneers (2-8).
