Pirates reach agreement to re-sign Grilli

The SportsXchange

The Pittsburgh Pirates have reached an agreement with pitcher Jason Grilli on a two-year contract, multiple media outlets reported Monday.

The contract calls for Grilli to make $6.75 million, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.

The right-handed Grilli went 1-6 with a 2.91 earned-run average in 64 games for the Pirates in 2012. He served a set-up man out of the bullpen.
