Barcelona will be perfect at Atletico, warns Pinto

Barcelona's veteran reserve goalkeeper Jose Pinto admits it is not easy to replace Victor Valdes after the former started Saturday's thrashing of Granada.

Barca comfortably dispatched Granada 4-0 thanks to goals from Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas, Alexis Sanchez and Pedro, and Pinto was happy to play his part after stepping in for his injured teammate.

"I'm happy for the win and to have contributed my bit. I knew it would be difficult to replace Valdes but it went well. We solved the few opportunities in which I had to intervene well," Pinto told BarcaTV. "I entered this game with lots of optimism. I do not take it as an opportunity (to replace Valdes) or to prove anything, I just want to enjoy playing."

Like Valdes, Pinto's contract is set to expire at the end of the season and, at 38 years of age, there are suggestions the veteran could be tempted to hang up his gloves.

Pinto, however, insists he is not ready to call time on his career yet.

"Of course I would like to stay and renew my contract," he added. "I'm very happy here, it's like a big family."
