PHOTOS: Miller Park 'Pink Out' for breast cancer awareness, research

On Mother's Day every season, players around the league use pink bats and wear pink accessories to help raise awareness and money for breast cancer research and prevention.

The Brewers took it one step further on Saturday evening. They had a "Pink Out" at Miller Park to help support the fight against breast cancer. Here are the details from the official release:

Each fan attending the game will have a specially-designed card affixed to their seat, and at the end of the 4th inning, they will hold them up to form a giant image in the ballpark. The image will turn the ballpark into a sea of pink and white, including ribbons that have become synonymous with efforts related to breast cancer research and awareness.

Here are some photos of the "Pink Out" following the fourth inning:

The ceremonial first pitch was thrown by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel publisher Betsy Brenner, a breast cancer survivor. Other breast cancer survivors took the field alongside the Brewers players for the national anthem. There were also special hats sold and a 50/50 raffle that sent one lucky fan home with over $17,000.

Well done, Brewers.
