Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Ben Revere will be placed on the disabled list and evaluated by a specialist on Monday after breaking his right foot in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the White Sox.
During his final at-bat in the 11th inning of a 5-4 loss to Chicago, Revere fouled off a pitch and immediately crumpled to the ground in pain. He completed his at-bat and made the game's final out.
In between games, he had an X-ray, which showed the break, according to Philly.com.
At the start of play on Saturday, Revere was hitting .304 with 22 stolen bases.
