PHOENIX -- Center fielder Shane Victorino hit his second home run in as many games in his favorite road park and Philadelphia hit a season-high three homers to help Vance Worley beat Arizona 8-5 on Tuesday.
Hunter Pence and Laynce Nix hit two-run homers in the fourth inning for a 4-0 lead, and Victorino's homer in the eighth helped the Phillies snap a three-game losing streak and even the series at one game apiece.
Victorino, who leads the Phillies with four homers, has six homers in 20 games at Chase Field in his eight-year career. Pence has three homers this season and Nix, who had three hits, hit his first of the season. Pence returned to the lineup after missing his first start of the season Monday.
Cody Ransom and Jason Kubel had solo homers for the D-backs, who trailed 7-1 after Pete Orr's bases-loaded triple in the top of the seventh inning. Kubel extended his hitting streak to eight games with his third homer in four games.
Worley (2-1) gave up only Ransom's homer in six innings. He has given up one run in nine career innings against the D-backs and has the distinction of starting the last game that D-backs right-hander Ian Kennedy lost, on Aug. 18, 2011, at Citizens Bank Park. Kennedy was 21-4 last year and is 3-0 this year. Worley's ERA is 2.16.
Jonathan Papelbon got his sixth save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Josh Collmenter (0-2) got into the seventh inning for the first time in four starts this season but was charged with six runs when two inherited runners scored in the seventh. Although his ERA dropped to a season-low 9.82, he has given up six home runs in 18 1/3 innings.
Orr, Juan Pierre and Brian Schneider had two hits. Ransom and Gerardo Parra had two hits for the D-backs, whose four doubles gave them 10 for the series.
