The Philadelphia Union have announced that they have sent Colombian forward Lionard Pajoy and an international roster spot to D.C. United in exchange for midfielder Danny Cruz.
Pajoy, 31, just signed with the Union in February and went on to make 20 appearances for the club scoring five goals. He was often criticize for his poor finishing and soon dropped down the depth chart behind the likes of Jack McInerney and up-and-comer Antoine Hoppenot.
Going the other way is 22-year-old midfielder Danny Cruz who is now on his third MLS club after being drafted 41st overall in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft by the Houston Dynamo. The 5'8" winger was traded to D.C. in January and went on to make 15 appearances during the 2012 season, scoring once.
