The Detroit defense had no answer for LeSean McCoy as he led the way to a good win for the Eagles over the Lions, 34-20, at home.
Nick Foles found the end zone for two scores against the Lions (1 pass, 1 rush) on 11 of 22 passing for 179 yards and one pick. Matthew Stafford went 10 of 25 with 148 yards passing, no touchdowns and one fumble for the Lions.
McCoy was a focal point for the Eagles, running at will on the Lions for 217 yards on 29 carries with two touchdowns. In the fourth quarter, he got loose for a 40-yard score. DeSean Jackson caught four passes for 59 yards with a touchdown.
The Philadelphia defense was the deciding factor in the victory, limiting the Lions to 80 yards rushing and 148 passing.
Lions running back Joique Bell put up 69 yards rushing, 58 receiving and one touchdown.
The Eagles head to Minneapolis next week to face the Vikings (3-8) while the Lions host the Ravens (6-6).
