Phil Davis Draws Ryan Bader at UFC on FOX 14 in Sweden

The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Friday announced that a light heavyweight bout between top contenders Phil Davis and Ryan Bader would join the UFC on FOX 14 roster in Stockholm.

No. 5 ranked Davis (13-2-0) vs. no. 8 ranked Bader (19-4-0) is added alongside Alexander Gustafsson vs. Anthony Johnson in the headliner and Dan Henderson vs. Gegard Mousasi in the co-main event on Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Tele2 Arena.

Both fighters have recently made waves in the light heavyweight division with wins over Glover Teixeira and Ovince St. Preux respectively. With Davis, fighting out of San Diego, winning four of his last five match-ups, and Bader, fighting out of Temple, Ariz., having a three-fight win streak behind him, both athletes will be looking to solidify their position as one of the top ranked fighters in the light heavyweight division.

As well as focusing on his own match-up, Bader will have a close eye on the headline bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Johnson.

“This is a great fight between two amazing fighters in our division and I will be watching as a fan of the UFC just like everyone else in the stadium. I'm looking forward to it!”
