    Penn, Texas Southern coast to 89-56 victory

    HOUSTON (AP) -- Ray Penn scored 20 points, including six 3-point baskets, to pace Texas Southern past Alabama A&M 89-56 on Saturday night.

    Penn also dished out seven assists to help the cause for Texas Southern (7-14, 6-2 Southwestern).

    Kyrie Sutton scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Texas Southern. Omar Strong scored 12 points and Fred Sturdivant added 11.

    Demarquelle Tabb scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Alabama A&M (7-12, 3-5). Jeremy Crutcher scored 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

    Texas Southern hit 36 of 57 shots from the field, including 11 of 18 from 3-point range.
