The Pittsburgh Penguins
signed forwards Tanner Glass
to a two-year contract and Riley Holzapfel
to a one-year deal Sunday.
The hard-hitting Glass, whose salary averages $1.1 million annually, had career highs of five goals and 16 points in 78 games last season for the Winnipeg Jets
. He led the Jets with 248 hits.
Glass is expected to take over Arron Asham
's spot on the fourth line after Asham signed a two-year contract with the New York Rangers
Holzapfel, 23, had 16 goals and 37 points for two teams in the AHL last season.
