The SportsXchange

Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Paul Martin had surgery on Sunday to repair a broken bone in his wrist, the team announced.

He will be sidelined 4-6 weeks, according to the team. It means he could be back in time to participate in the playoffs.

Martin, 32, has six goals and 15 assists in 33 games. His six goals tie a career high for a season.
