Penguins' Letang leaves game with injury

Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang did not play in the final two periods of the Penguins' 2-1 victory over Boston on Sunday because of a lower-body injury.

Letang was not in a boot or cast after the game, and there was no official announcement of his status for the next game.

Coach Dan Bylsma simply said after the game that Letang will be evaluated further.

Letang leads the NHL in scoring among defensemen. He has three goals and 25 assists in 26 games this season.
