Automated Insights

Paul George put up a triple-double with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Indiana Pacers to a victory over the Chicago Bulls, 91-79. Indiana (51-18) picked up the win after falling to the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

George finished 3-13, including 1-5 from three-point range. Other top performers for Indiana were Luis Scola with 19 points and 6 rebounds, Roy Hibbert with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and David West with 10 points and 6 rebounds. On 5-11 shooting, including 4-6 from behind the arc, Jimmy Butler put up 17 points for Chicago in the loss.

As expected, the Bulls offense did not have its best game, struggling to make shots against a Pacers defense that ranks best in the league at forcing misses (45.6% opponents' eFG%). After finishing with an eFG% of 39.6% in this game, they rank 30th in the NBA in that metric at 46.7% this season.

This drops Chicago (38-31) to 1-2 against Indiana on the year.

Coming up next, the Pacers battle the Memphis Grizzlies, who are 40-28 on the year. The Bulls match up with the Philadelphia 76ers, currently 15-54 this season. The Pacers are 1-0 versus Memphis this season. The Bulls have won their last two meetings with Philadelphia.
