LeGarrette Blount spent most of the night in the end zone, leading the way to a lopsided victory for the Patriots over the hapless Colts, 43-22 at home. With the victory, New England advances to the AFC Championship.
Tom Brady didn't find the end zone and came away 13 for 25 for only 198 yards and no interceptions. On the Colts side, Andrew Luck went 20 for 41 with 331 yards passing, two touchdowns and four picks.
Blount was a key factor for the Patriots, running all over the Colts for 166 yards on 24 carries with an impressive four touchdowns. In the fourth quarter, he found a seam for a 73-yard score. Julian Edelman caught six passes for 84 yards.
The New England defense was the major reason for the victory, forcing four interceptions. They brought down Luck for three sacks.
Colts wide receiver LaVon Brazill had a big day with 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Coby Fleener also had a noteworthy performance with 74 receiving yards.
