Tom Brady had a big day through the air, leading the way to a close victory for the Patriots against the Texans, 34-31, in Houston.
Brady had a respectable 29 of 41 performance with 371 yards passing, two touchdowns and one pick. On the Texans side, Case Keenum went 15 for 30 with 272 yards passing, one touchdown (0 pass, 1 rush) and one pick.
Shane Vereen ran for 38 yards on 10 carries while adding five receptions for 37 yards and a score. Rob Gronkowski was a highlight, pulling in six balls for 127 yards with a touchdown.
The New England defense gave up 121 yards rushing and 272 passing. They managed to get to Keenum for one sack.
Texans running back Ben Tate provided some spark with 102 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Andre Johnson also gave a strong effort with 121 receiving yards.
The Patriots host the Browns (4-7) next week while the Texans head to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars (2-9).
