Patriots cut seven players

The New England Patriots cut seven players Monday.

That includes defensive tackle Cory Grissom, running back Sam McGuffie, wide receiver T.J. Moe, linebacker Taylor Reed, offensive tackle Elvis Fisher, offensive tackle Brice Schwab and running back Quentin Hines.

Fisher and Hines were listed as having failed physicals.

Other than McGuffie and Reed, all of the other players spent last season on injured reserve for the Patriots last season.

McGuffie and Reed were signed to reserve-future deals after last season.
