All-Star point guard Tony Parker, who was been out because of a severely sprained left ankle since March 1, might return on Friday against the Utah Jazz, the San Antonio Express-News reported on Thursday.
Parker, who has missed eight games, returned to practice earlier this week and took part in a shoot-around practice before Wednesday's game.
When reporters asked coach Gregg Popovich if Parker might be able to play on Friday, the coach said it was "possible."
The Spurs have gone 6-2 without Parker, who originally was expected to be out for about four weeks because of what was diagnosed as a Grade 2 sprain, but he has a history of returning from injuries earlier than expected.
