Yahoo Sports Minute:

Panthers re-sign Antwan Applewhite

National Football Post

The Carolina Panthers have re-signed defensive end Antwan Applewhite to a one-year contract.

Applewhite is a player the coaches have familiarity with prior to last season as he played under coach Ron Rivera previously in San Diego. So, he’s a versatile performer who understand what is asked of players in the scheme.

The Panthers added Applewhite in October last year and he played in 12 games, providing 21 tackles and two sacks. He’s also effective on special teams and with a full offseason with the club he could have an expanded role this season.
