The Panthers gave up scoring plays of 57 yards and 50 yards and were controlled by the Vikings, 31-13, in.
Cam Newton finished 18 for 35 with 194 yards, one touchdown and one pick. For the Vikings, Teddy Bridgewater wound up 15 for 21 with 138 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Jonathan Stewart was a standout player for the Panthers, rushing for 85 yards on 12 attempts in addition to two receptions for 25 yards. Greg Olsen caught five balls for 59 yards.
The Carolina defense played well in the loss, limiting the Vikings to 92 yards rushing and 138 passing. They sacked Bridgewater three times.
Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings racked up 45 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Panthers travel to New Orleans next week to meet the Saints (4-7) while the Vikings are at home to take on the Jets (2-9).
