Panthers Pounded by Saints, 28-10
The Panthers turned it over two times, managed only 231 yards of offense and were held in check by the Saints, 28-10, at home.
Cam Newton completed 10 of 28 passes for 151 yards, one touchdown (0 pass, 1 rush), one pick and one fumble. Drew Brees ended up going 24 of 34 with 297 yards passing, two touchdowns (1 pass, 1 rush), one pick and one fumble for the Saints.
Jonathan Stewart ran for 46 yards on eight carries. Jerricho Cotchery caught two balls for 59 yards.
The Carolina defense allowed 105 yards rushing and 297 passing. They tormented Brees with four sacks.
Saints tight end Jimmy Graham was impressive, churning out 83 receiving yards and one touchdown. Running back Mark Ingram also had a good game with 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
The Panthers head to Philadelphia next week to face off with the Eagles (5-2) while the Saints will play host to the 49ers (4-3).
