Panthers have cleared $7.25 million in cap space
Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman is giving his team a great deal of savings.
According to the Charlotte Observer, Gettleman has been able to clear $7.25 million in savings after restructuring three veteran players' contracts.
Those deals were with center Ryan Kalil, running back Jonathan Stewart and linebacker Thomas Davis.
The Panthers are now about $29 million under the projected $130 million salary cap as a result.
