Dan Wetzel:

Pagano pays Colts surprise visit

National Football Post

Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano paid his team a surprise visit at the end of Friday's practice and even led the team in the practice break down, according to the Associated Press.

Pagano, who has been battling leukemia, but is in remission has been away from the Colts since early in the year when he was diagnosed and had to be hospitalized for treatments. In the interim, the Colts have adopted the motto "Chuck Strong" in his honor and are off to a surprising 6-3 start under interim coach/offensive coordinator Bruce Arians.

"It was a beautiful moment ... He came and enjoyed a good bunch of sunshine and talked to the guys and it was another beautiful day," Arians said of Pagano's visit Friday.

Pagano still has two more rounds of chemotherapy left, but is hopeful of being back on the Colts sideline by their Dec. 30 season finale against the Houston Texans.
