Padres' Blanks gets stitches in eyelid

San Padres outfielder Kyle Blanks had to have four stitches taken in his eyelid after crashing into the wall against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday.

Blanks banged into the wall after making a running catch of a ball hit by the Giants' Joaquin Arias.

He left the game, and MLB.com reported that he had to have stitches to close a cut caused by his sunglasses when he hit the wall.

It's unclear whether Blanks will miss any additional games.

Blanks is hitting .278 with one home run in six games this season.
