Packers WR Greg Jennings said Thursday that he will undergo surgery to repair his next Tuesday on what he describes as an abdominal tear.
According to Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Jennings would not give a timetable on his return. Head coach Mike McCarthy said the injury wasn’t a season-ending one.
Jennings played in the season opener against the 49ers and missed the Week Two game against the Bears. He returned for Weeks Three and Four, but has not played since. In his three games, Jennings has 12 catches for 78 yards and one touchdown.
Jennings told reporters that in retrospect, he wished he had not returned for the Week Three game against Seattle. He originally suffered what was classified as a groin injury in Week One.
